Gum Grafts

Gingival recession is a condition in which the gums recede, exposing the roots of the teeth. This can be due to excessive brushing, the use of a toothbrush with bristles that are too hard, orthodontic treatment or bruxism.

The patient may experience dentinal sensitivity, as the root of the tooth is less protected from external aggression.

In some cases, a gum graft may be prescribed to prevent deterioration of the tissues supporting the teeth and restore lost aesthetics.
